Programis a flagship youth exchange initiative jointly organized by the Chongqing Education Association for International Exchange andthe U.S.-China Silicon Valley Association, and co-hosted by Chongqing Jiaotong University and Chongqing Nankai Secondary School. As the first U.S. youth delegation from Silicon Valley to visit Chongqing under the theme “Welcoming Spring in the Twelfth Lunar Month, Joyful Journey through the Mountain City,” the program serves as a meaningful effort to implement the China-U.S. people-to-people exchangeinitiative and foster new platforms for international youth engagement.
Held over 14 days during the 2025 winter break, the program brought 27 high school students from Silicon Valley to experience Chongqing’s vibrant education, culture, and innovation. Through shared classes, sports activities, and traditional festival celebrations with local students, the delegation gained immersive insight into Chinese culture, heritage, and urban development.
The project emphasizes equality, interaction, and mutual understanding between Chinese and American youth. By building exchange environments across campuses, communities, and families, it strengthens cross-cultural friendships and empowers the next generation to grow through global dialogue and shared experiences.
