Introduction to Chongqing Education Association for International Exchanges
Chongqing Education Association for International Exchanges (hereinafter referred to as "the Association"), founded in 1983, is a citywide non-profit social organization engaged in education international exchanges and cooperation voluntarily initiated by or with the participation of colleges and universities, educational institutions, scientific research institutes, industrial enterprises with legal personality of Chongqing, as well as experts and scholars, etc. The Association is under the leadership and guidance of China Education Association for International Exchange, Chongqing Municipal Education Commission, and under the authorization and supervision of Chongqing Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau. There are 289 members in the Association now, covering the fields of colleges and universities, higher vocational education, basic education (including secondary vocational education) and enterprises in the city.
The main tasks of the Association are: to align with the implementation of the national strategy of " rejuvenating the country through science and education " and the "Belt and Road" initiative; to help the construction of New Western Land-sea Corridor and Inland Open Highlands; to actively promote the educational exchanges and cooperation between Chongqing and other countries and regions in the world; and to stage a two-way service platform in service of international people to people exchange and education international cooperation rooting in Chongqing, radiating the west and connecting the world, advancing the development of education, science and culture.
The main work of the Association is: to undertake projects authorized or entrusted by the government or other educational institutions; to organize trainings, conferences, seminars and exhibitions on education internationalization; to organize study tours, teaching and scientific researches, exchanges and competitions for teachers and students from home and abroad; to assist the member of the Association and various groups to carry out education international exchanges and cooperation; to undertake consulting services on study abroad; to provide consultation, planning, and research support to the members, governmental departments and all walks of life; to mobilize funds for education international exchanges and serve the development of the industry; and edit and publish publications on education international exchanges in Chongqing.
